Holiday And Vacation Pay
Pinnacle understands that home time with family and loved ones is important and we make every effort to compensate our drivers to take the time they need to relax and unwind.
7 Holidays per calendar year. Paid at the rate of 8 hours per day at your existing hourly rate.
Vacations are paid at 50 hours per week at your existing hourly rate.
AFTER ONE YEAR -1 WEEK.
AFTER TWO YEARS -2 WEEKS.
AFTER 5 YEARS – 3 WEEKS.
AFTER 10 YEARS – 4 WEEKS.
Unused vacation can be rolled over to the following year (max. 20 days)
Paid Personal Time
3 days per year. Paid at the rate of 10 hours per day at your existing hourly rate. Eligible for personal days beginning January 1st AFTER your first full year of employment

Clean Roadside Inspection
Level I Inspection
This inspection includes examination of documents the driver is required to carry and a detailed vehicle inspection.
Clean Inspection $175.00
Level II Inspection
This is the Walk-around Driver/Vehicle Inspection. It includes an examination of the driver’s documents and vehicle inspection items that can be inspected without physically getting under the vehicle.
Clean Inspection $100.00
Level III Inspection
This is a Driver Only Inspection. It involves checking the documents and items related to the driver only.
Clean Inspection $50.00
In addition to the CSA Bonus we include an additional Safety Bonus that could reward a safe driver up to $2,000 per year in bonus pay. Drivers will be evaluated quarterly for such criteria as mandatory safety meetings, complete and accurate paperwork, pre and post-trip reports, truck and trailer maintenance, violations and citations, motorist complaints, Federal DOT violations or accidents or work-related injuries.
We encourage our drivers to invite other drivers to join our company. If you recommend a new hire we will pay you $1,000 after 30 days of successful employment with us.
Driver Eligibility Requirements
Minimum Age – 23 Years
2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
No more than (2) convictions for moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past (3) years
NO DWI or DUI in the last 7 years
Current Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement (or willing to obtain Hazmat and Tanker upon hire – bonus withheld until endorsements secured).
Must pass company-paid DOT physical and drug screen

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to live in NJ to join Pinnacle as a company driver?
No, you can join our LTL Division if you live anywhere east of Route 35 (Duluth MN to Laredo TX). As a driver for our LTL division, you will handle outbound multistep truckloads from our Florence, NJ warehouse to delivery points east of Route 35. Our freight is palletized and moves dock to dock, requiring no touch by the driver. Once you are empty, you will be reloaded with a truckload moving back to NJ, NY, or PA.
How often will I get home?
Our experienced team of dispatchers do a very nice job getting our drivers home time. On average you can expect to get home every week if you live in the NJ, NY PA area and every 2 – 3 weeks if you live in any other city, state.
What is the starting pay and how much can I expect to make yearly?
Our drivers starting pay is .50 cents per mile and top pay (after 5 years is .57 cents). Our average OTR driver averaged over $80,155 per year in 2019.
How many miles will I average weekly?
Our typical OTR driver will average 2500 miles each week.
Do you offer benefits?
Yes, health benefits are offered through Cigna and can start immediately upon hire!
Do I have to wait to receive health benefits?
No, Health Care Coverage is effective on the first day of the month following your date of hire. For example, if you are hired on June 28th your insurance will become effective July 1st.
Do you have any incentive programs or bonus programs?
Yes, Pinnacle offers incentive as well as safety bonus programs for all drivers to earn more money.

Do you offer a sign on bonus?
Yes, Pinnacle offers a $3000 sign on bonus paid over 3 months immediately after hire.
Do you have a driver referral program if I know someone else that might want to apply for a position at Pinnacle?
Yes, we have a driver referral program. We pay $1000 bonus immediately after the driver’s first load.
What make, model truck can I expect to drive?
Our fleet is leased with full -service maintenance leases. Breakdowns and substitute trucks are included. Our fleet is largely made up of Freightliner Cascadia’s.
Do I need to have hazmat endorsement?
Hazmat endorsement is required in Pinnacle LTL Division.
Do I need to have tanker endorsement?
Tanker endorsement is required in Pinnacle LTL Division.
Does Pinnacle have an orientation program and where is orientation done?
Pinnacle Trucking LLC orientation is done at our facility in Florence NJ and can generally be done within 1 – 2 days.
